2022 is the 22st year for Route 66 On The Air, and the 16th year that BARC will be W6E.
This is an annual special event to celebrate the history of the Mother Road, sponsored by the Citrus Belt Amateur Radio Club in San Bernardino. There are expected to be 21 special event (1×1) stations taking part in this year’s event, from Santa Monica to the Chicago area. These are the two ends of Route 66, and there are clubs all along the route taking part.
This year the event is from Saturday of the second weekend of September to Sunday of the following weekend. September 10 to 18. That is two full weekends and the five weekdays in between, for a total of nine days of operating opportunity.
All BARC members are invited to participate, using the special event callsign W6E. The sign up form below will give us an idea of who plans to participate, and when. For example, you may plan to operate the afternoon of Saturday 9/17, on 15 SSB. So just put that in the form. There is no obligation, we just would like to know who may be operating.

We hope to have as many stations participate as we can, and cover as many bands and modes as we can. Last year our club had over 2,000 contacts. The frequencies suggested by the Citrus Belt Amateur Radio Club are below.
